Irma Patricia Sheahan    “May the Perpetual Light Shine Upon Her”

Loved for her own unselfish and unbridled love of her 8 children and husband, William, Patricia Sheahan has passed into the loving arms of the Lord. Born and raised in Chicago, Pat loved raising her children as she and Bill moved around the country to TN, KY, MN, KS and finally back to Chicago, which was always home to them. Mostly a stay at home mom, Pat worked later in life at Catholic Charities and The American Library Association in the Chicago area. She was one of the founding members of the Ladies Club at St. Hubert Parish in Hoffman Estates when the parish was in its infancy and was very active in both the Church and St. Hubert School. Later, while a resident of Tennessee she was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish, played bridge, helped her youngest son achieve his Eagle Scout Award and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She shared a great love story with William, her husband of 67 years and is survived by 5 sons, John, Steve, Danny, Billy and Dylan and 3 daughters, Mary, Ellen and Anne. She was grandmother to 7 and great grandmother of 2. The last of 6 children born to John and Irma Ryan of Chicago she is now at peace and has joined her “gang” in heaven, where she is probably running the show by now!
