Marcia A. Ratajik, nee Tridemy, 86, life-long resident of Park Ridge and Norwood Park. Born January 8, 1936 to Annette, nee Grube and Edmund Tridemy of Norwood Park. Beloved wife for 60 wonderful years to John A. Ratajik. Cherished mother of Jean (David) Altizer, Lynn (Matthew) Mulhall, Jennifer (Michael) Dempsey. Proud grandmother of Daniel, Leigh (Javier Diaz), John (partner Dominique), Hannah (fiancé Alexander Longo) Altizer; Emily, Ryan and Michael Mulhall; Kaitlyn, Jack and Matthew Dempsey. Great grandmother of DJ, Oya and Eliana. Beloved brother, Edmund (Judy) Tridemy (both deceased) and special aunt of Teryl Hammerschick and Corey Tridemy. Marcy had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. She treated everyone with kindness, willing to offer a helping hand. Marcy loved exploring the U.S. with her husband and children for many years, creating life-long memories. She also cherished many weekends with her family and grandchildren at their charming cottage in Wisconsin. A favorite tradition with her family in autumn was attending Cranfest. Besides being a wonderful cook and hosting many family holidays, she also was an avid gardener who spent many hours enjoying the great outdoors. Throughout the years, Marcy loved all of her dogs and cats, and often supported the many local animal charities. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the M J Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy. Chicago from 5 – 8 pm. Family and friends meeting Friday, 11:15 am at Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church, 920 Granville Ave (on Cumberland) Park Ridge for funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Interment Union Ridge Cemetery.
