Robert Joseph Murphy, 75, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on October 15, 2022. Born in Chicago on April 29, 1947 to the late Margaret Murphy, nee Caley, and Robert Murphy. Beloved husband of Marianne, nee Schwaba. Dear brother of Jane Shiley, deceased; Harold, deceased; and James (Agnes) Murphy. Loving uncle of Erin and James. Robert served in the U.S. Navy as a submariner. He retired from CNA Insurance after 36 years with the company serving in the IT department. Memorial Mass at St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave., Chicago, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022. Visitation at St. Juliana is from 9:15 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Living Retirement Village (ALRV), 7262 W. Peterson Avenue, Chicago, IL 60631 Attention: Judy Reyes, Spiritual Services Director. Interment private at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
