Maria Kleidorfer KnoecklKNOECKL

Maria Kleidorfer Knoeckl departed from her earthly existence on October 17, 2019 after a long struggle with dementia. She was preceded to the after-life by her parents Nick and Helen (Holzer) Faubl, her brother John Faubl and his wife Martha. Her first husband, Joseph Kleidorfer, died in 1983 and her second husband, John Knoeckl, died in 1999. She is survived by her brother Hermann (Diane) Faubl and her children Werner Kleidorfer and Ingrid (Kleidorfer) Kardynalsi as well as grandchildren Kelly and Michael Kleidorfer.
She was born in Hungary in 1935, separated from her family during WWII, and reunited with her family after the war. The family came to the USA in 1952 and settled in Chicago. 

Maria was a devoted mother who had many cherished friends. Her cooking skills were fabulous and her children, relatives and friends enjoyed sitting at her table. She was happy to be able to visit Germany and Hungary several times, not to mention the many other travels she took with her husbands. She worked in retail for many years and also was a caretaker for those in need. She was active in church work. She will be missed by all who loved her. Visitation will be a the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 3-7 pm.  Funeral service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
