Robert "Bob" Arthur HooverHOOVER

Robert "Bob" Arthur Hoover passed away January 12, 2015, of heart disease and diabetes, at Alden Northmoor in Norwood Park.  He was 69 years old.  He was born September 6, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to Janet Anna Gunderson Hoover and Arthur Thirgood Hoover, Jr., both deceased.  He is survived by his sister, Dr. Joanne Hoover Volberding  (the late Dr. Noel K.) of Mercer Island, WA.  Uncle of Eric F. Volberding of Mercer Island, WA, Sara Volberding Reba (Ramons) of South Windsor, CT, and great uncle of Andris and Lukas, along with many cherished cousins and friends.  He graduated from Lane Tech High School and attended Shimer College in Mt. Carroll, IL.  Bob was owner of the "I've Been Framed" artwork shop dealing in sales, framing, restoration and reconstruction. As a respected member of the International Plastic Modelers Society, his work was extensively exhibited in museums, and illustrated in numerous publications. He was enthusiastic about automobiles, especially an earlier-owned Mini Cooper, Chicago area history, family lore, and folk and shapenote music.
Family and friends will gather at 12:40 pm, Monday, September 17, 2018 at the office of Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, IL for interment of ashes at 1:00 pm in the family burial lot.  For further information please call the M J Suerth Funeral Home at 877-631-1240.
