Michael, the legend, was deeply loved by his parents (John) Leo (waiting in Heaven) & (Catherine) Helene (Fahy), immeasurably loved by his by sisters, brother-in-law, nieces & nephews, Beth Anne & Paul ~ Kyle (waiting in Heaven), Collin, Matthew & Mikey, Kathleen & Jimmy (waiting in Heaven) ~ Nicole (Ben), Danielle, Danny & adored by great nieces Rainey & Savannah. Michael was also very dearly loved by many special Aunts, Uncles, lots of his cousins & friends, including his dearest friends Victor, Julie & his lifelong best friend, Scott, who was at Michael's side through it all. Michael's family & friends ALWAYS came first to him!

Michael protected everyone he loved. If someone was hurting or needed anything, Michael was there whether or not his problems or pain were worse!!

Michael was an avid Chicago Bulls, Bears & Blackhawks fan but his lifelong, diehard, loyal passion was for his Chicago Cubs!! He went to countless Cubs games, their spring trainings in Arizona, & he even made it to the 2016 World Series game! Michael was also honored at the Cubs game, on the day he died, with a message on the Cubs Jumbotron screen, thanks to a very special friend, Kelly. It said:

"HONORING MICHAEL CURTIN

~ RIP ~

ENJOY ALL THE CUBS LEGENDS UP THERE!"

Michael had great pride for his Cubbies & especially having met veterans like Ron Santo, who he even became friends with, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams & more. Michael knew an enormous amount of Cubs, MLB league baseball, & overall all sports trivia.

In Michael's earlier years, he played guitar & was a vocalist in a band. He was also a classic rock guru! Before his final health bout, he knew every verse of every song by every artist! He was definitely the king of classic rock trivia!

Michael struggled with significant heart problems, diabetes & failed back surgeries, causing many issues and pain. His courage & determination were truly unbelievable...despite his odds. Still he kept fighting...up until the very end. Family & friends say his heart problems were from massive overuse on everyone he http://www.stbaldricks.org

Michael left this earth peacefully & most lovingly surrounded by close family & friends. We're pretty sure his reunion in Heaven started with seeing everyone who'd consumed his heart ever since they left this earth. No doubt he soon found little Kyle, his Dad, Jimmy, his Grandma & Grandpa Fahy, his Aunt Virg, Anna Marie, his Uncle Jack, his Uncle Gene, Paige & Angelina.

In honor of Michael & the legacy he lived out & left behind, love your family & friends well & treasure the very short time you have with them on this earth.

There truly are not sufficient words to describe the sense of loss, pain & void we're feeling without him already. Life will never be the same again. Yet, we will be changed for the better simply because of Michael!

Memorials can be given to the American Heart Association & to the St. Baldrick's Childhood Cancer Foundation ~ in memory of Michael's beloved nephew, Kyle.
