Joan Oven Betts Bent, 91, longtime resident of Lake Forest, Illinois. Passed away March 5, 2023 in Chicago. Beloved wife of the late David H. Betts and the late Gordon Bent.Loving mother of Joanna (the late Howard) Virkler, Louise (Robert) Egan, Marie (Sam) Bartlett, Elizabeth (Steve) Aguina, David (Jennifer) Betts; Stepmother of Elizabeth (Robert) Pasquesi and Catherine (Christopher) Carolin. Grandmother of Justine (Rich), Philip, Arthur (Darcia), and Marie Treadwell; Emily, Alice, and Nicholas Egan; Nate and Jeannie Bartlett; Molly and Will Aguina; David Betts, Tegan (Max) Montatskiy, Haley, and Mason Betts. Stepgrandmother of Whitney Pasquesi, Marea (Kenton) Johansson, and Alex Pasquesi; Reid (Cody) Carolin and Christopher (Lauren) Carolin.
Great-grandmother of Gordie and Greta Maguire, Sophia and Palmer Treadwell, Noble Treadwell, Tommy and Billy Montatskiy, and the Bent family great-grandchildren.

Dear sister of the late David J. (Elizabeth) Oven Jr., the late Claire M. Oven,  and Herbert C. (Deanne) Oven.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 East Westminster Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
