Gertrude Babicz, nee Blackowiak, 95, of Edison Park. Passed away March 29, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Babicz. Loving mother of Gregory Babicz and Susan (Robert) Bates. Proud grandmother of Rachel (Chris) Byrd, Rebecca (Adam) Obert, Julie Nowak and Michelle (Roger) Rivera. Great grandmother of Declan, Rachel, Gregory, Ryan, Donovan and Haley. Dear sister of the late Dorothy (the late Edward) Pawlicki and the late Robert Blackowiak. Fond aunt of Kathleen (Louis) Radford. Gertrude’s parting phrase throughout the years is so appropriate: “Bye for now”.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the M J Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 Northwest Hwy., Chicago from 10: 00 am until time of prayers at 11:00 am. Mass will be celebrated at St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo, (at Touhy Ave) at 11:30 am.
Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL.
