O' BRINGER Charles “Chuck” Franklin O’Bringer, Jr., 61, of Chicago, formerly of Boone Grove, Indiana, passed away April 27, 2023. Chuck was born on June 10, 1961, to Charles and Mary Louise (Traske) O’Bringer in Michigan City, Indiana. He graduated from Boone Grove High School in 1979. Charles went to Ivy Tech, and studied Electronic Communication. He was a quality control engineer, and worked with electronic gaming. Chuck loved horticulture and landscaping. He was an ancestry buff. Chuck traveled the world: Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Canada, Argentina, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy. He loved Hawaii and Maui was his favorite island. Chuck was a member of the Chicago Botanic Garden and Sons of the American Revolution. He volunteered his time at Care for Real, and on the Park Tower Condominium Association Rules & Regulations Committee as chair. Chuck is survived by his mother: Mary Louise, sisters: Patricia Anne Smith, and Adele “Rose” O’Connor, and significant other of 19 years: Michael Parrie. Chuck was preceded in death by his father: Charles, Sr. Chuck will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors. A memorial gathering will be held at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home 6754 N. Northwest Highway in Chicago on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Chuck’s ashes will be interred at St. Adalbert Cemetery in the Mary, Mother of God Mausoleum, Niche Garden, N-124 Tier 4 A.
